“You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you.”
Dear Rebel Spirit,
Ever know you have something to say and when you sit down to write it, nothing comes out? That happened to me as I sat down to write this piece. So much swirling on my mind, yet not sure how to organize it and make it make sense.
Maybe it is the “make” in “make it make sense” that needs to go. Perhaps I need to replace make with “let”. I recall a mentor of mine getting so frustrated with me when my response to every challenge was “I just have to figure it out”.
His frustration stemmed from my fervent belief in the power of me versus the power of the collective. Today I know the true power resides in the collective force of energies in our universe that feeds our souls and regulates our desires, so they do not burn us alive.
My beliefs could be seen as dichotomous. I believe in both a universal force that connects us all and the ability to construct our lives. I am not sure if there is a name for this…but I refer to it as spiritual constructivism. I believe in tapping into the power that is bigger than us to construct the life we are born to learn and grow with.
When I hear people blame external constructs for their discomfort or surrender to what others want, I feel pain. And that pain is devastating when I do it myself. Because none of us is perfect and we all make mistakes.
My gift has been to be able to embrace the dark I have within that asks me to dare everything as well as the light that says stay connected to the collective. And I have been able to help others do this for themselves. It feels amazing.
I am here to live the absolute best life I can create in union with my creator. And all I want is the same for you.
As we close 2021 and open to 2022, who do you want to be? What life do you want to connect with? What goals feel right for this next evolution? What will you direct your resources to invest in?
These are the questions I am working on this week. I hope they serve you as well.
Happy end of 2021. Here is to spiritual constructionism in 2022.
Live Dangerously, Be You.
