Each session is $225 and you can pay per session or purchase a block of sessions at a negotiated rate. Each session comes with follow up support and questions between sessions over text message.

Dr. Jennifer Smith has been an entrepreneur since 2010 when she invested in her first rental property. Since then she has worked with several small business owners to develop their business idea, support them through their goals, and share tools and resources that enable their success. Her 2021 doctoral research examined the co-evolution of women entrepreneurs in the eastern Iowa entrepreneurial ecosystem and she has worked as a volunteer with veteran focused entrepreneurial incubator programs and other community based entrepreneurial programs. 

A small business coaching program starts with an identification of your goals for your business and what is most important to you as a business owner. We then develop an action plan to achieve those goals in order of priority. Along the way you have an objective resource with connections and tools to support each stage of your journey. Small Business Coaching is a Pay What You Can/negotiated rate service. Transformational Moral Leadership

White Sheets: An Identity in Crisis 

In 2010, Jennifer began working with a coach who helped her shape the picture of her ideal life. The first action she took was to buy white sheets for her bed, like the picture of peace she saw in her head. Two years later she left her six-figure corporate job to open a "crystal store" and coaching practice, shifted to co-parenting instead of marriage with her son's father, and divested on most of her material possessions. Today life looks much different again, but the picture of the ideal life is still holding strong. In this session, Jennifer walks participants through how to navigate massive professional and personal shifts while keeping the ideal front and center. So Over Women: becoming a feminist at 45 

She wasn't a woman who thought women had it all that rough. It took pursuing a doctoral degree in executive leadership to change her mind. She resisted studying gender in any form, and then did her dissertation on women entrepreneurs. The experience revealed a lot about the complex interaction between individual and collective norms. And the system became clear. Next thing I know, I am a feminist, and I question whether this is a good thing or not. In this session, Jennifer guides participants through confronting the truth that may be holding them back from the ideal life they have dreamed about but felt too dangerous to pursue. #unleashthedanger

Organizational Culture: Fact or Fiction 

In this workshop style session, participants are guided through a series of analysis tools to help them understand how to interpret organizational culture and the intersection with their values in the workplace. Part diagnostic exercise, part self-awareness building, this workshop can be configured for the transitioning workforce and the organization looking to build stronger cultural identity and connection. It's an Entrepreneur's Life for Us! 

Is it a hobby or a business? Jennifer has spent a lot of hours helping people answer this question. And if honest, spent many hours asking herself the question. In this session, Jennifer will share the lessons she learned through studying the meaning of entrepreneurship through nine different stories, including her own, in her doctoral research on the co-evolution of women entrepreneurs and the eastern Iowa entrepreneurial ecosystem (Murphy, 2021).  You will learn about the experiences of these women and what drove them from interest to action in their business as well as the challenges and enablers they had that led them to unique paths. In a workshop setting, participants will be guided through writing their own stories and making connections to their next steps with their idea. #learndangerouslybeyou
